Thorsten Bitsch

Thorsten Bitsch is a Scientist specializing in Process Technology and Precision Coating at tesa since July 2021, focusing on process development, technology development, coating, drying, roll-to-roll processes, web handling, electron beam curing, and radiation protection. Prior to this role, Thorsten was a Research Assistant (PhD) at Technische Universität Darmstadt in the Mechanical Engineering Department from December 2015 to December 2019, where work involved printed organic electronics, gravure printing, and high-speed measurements. Earlier experience includes a Master-Student position at Fraunhofer-Institut für Betriebsfestigkeit und Systemzuverlässigkeit LBF, conducting LF-NMR studies on the aging effects of elastomers. Thorsten obtained a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering (2020) and a Master of Science in Physics (2015) from Technische Universität Darmstadt, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physics (2012) and study experience at the University of Saskatchewan (2013-2014).
