Selja Ryöppy

Selja Ryöppy is a Sustainability Manager at Tesi since May 2022, where responsibilities include developing sustainability processes and tools while assisting portfolio companies and fund managers on sustainability issues. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki, focusing on sustainable transitions in the Finnish housing sector, and an intern position at EY specializing in climate change and sustainability services. Selja has also worked as a Fellow Intern at McKinsey & Company, a General Manager at NY GIV, and a Client Solutions Manager for GLG, managing private equity and venture capital clients. Selja began a career in volunteer work, assisting a women's rights organization in rural Burkina Faso. Educational credentials comprise a Master's in Environmental Change and Global Sustainability from the University of Helsinki and a Bachelor's in Development Studies and Social Anthropology from SOAS University of London.
