Joel Helbling

Joel Helbling has over 20 years of professional work experience. Joel began their career in 1996 as a Systems Engineer at Datavantage Corporation. Joel then moved on to TIAS.com "The Internet Antique Shop" in 2000, where they served as an Ecommerce Systems Architect. In 2001, they became a Co-Founder of Adelphus Solutions, LLC, where they were involved in web development in Ruby on Rails and Coldfusion. In 2005, they joined Micros Retail Systems as a Principal Engineer and Systems Integration Architect, as well as a DBA and XBR developer. In 2009, they began working with LeanDog as an Agile Coach, Rubyist, and Visionary, and also with BoxCast as a Startup Coach and Partner. Since 2012, they have been working with Test Double as an Engineering Manager and People Success Lead, as well as a Double Agent and Staff Software Consultant, and a Special Agent and Software Consultant.

Joel Helbling attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1991 to 1992, where they studied an Engineering Program. Joel then attended Case Western Reserve University from 1992 to 1993, also studying an Engineering Program. In 1995 and 1996, they completed an Independent Study for a GRE in Psychology.
