Omar Alsaied

Omar Alsaied currently holds the position of General Manager, Sales & Business Development for Saudi Arabia at Ciena since June 2025 and serves as a Board Member (Observer) at Plantaform™. With extensive experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, Omar has held various advisory and board roles, including Advisory Board Member at TestCrew and Board Member at Trellis and SpeechLogix Inc. Prior positions include General Manager of Wholesale Business Development at Mobily and Head of Business Development META at Infinera. Omar's career also includes significant roles at Calix and Ciena, where foundational sales leadership was established. Omar earned an MBA in International Marketing from the University of Ottawa and a B.Eng in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University.
