David Ubanyi

David Ubanyi has over three years of professional work experience in the field of frontend engineering. In 2021, they joined TestGorilla as a Senior Frontend Engineer, where they were responsible for implementing new features and performance improvements for the client-facing test taker interface. David also led the research and implementation of new accessibility features to help disabled users utilize the product more effectively. In 2021, they also joined Flyway as a Lead Frontend Engineer, where they were responsible for kickstarting a nextjs-based modern website, with support for marketing content-driven pages with Contentful as well as consuming backend API for listings, signups, and bookings. David provided frontend stack direction, code structure, documentation, and testing framework. In 2018, they joined Phos Labs as a Lead Frontend Engineer. David also joined Hudson Trident in 2018 as a Senior Frontend Developer, where they led the front-end development of a digital platform used by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to initiate, track and document the entry and exit of shipping vessels with dangerous goods.

David Ubanyi obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from Covenant University between 2009 and 2014. David also holds an Arc Certified Remote Developer certification from Arc.dev.
