Thomas Shepherd has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering industry. Thomas began their career in 1988, working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University. In 1993, they joined GTX Corporation as a Product Engineering Manager and Software Engineer, where they lead a team of 10 engineers and developed new technologies for handwriting recognition and image processing. In 1995, they moved to Rainbow Studios as a Lead Programmer for XBox, Senior Software Engineer, and Director of Motion Analysis. In 2008, they became President and CEO of Intelligent Tools LLC. In 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer III at both Avaya and Diamondware / Nortel Networks. Finally, in 2014, they joined Tethr as a Sr. Software Engineer - Machine Learning & Analytics, where they are responsible for designing and implementing new and improved technologies for machine learning and speech analytics.
Thomas Shepherd obtained their Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence / Pattern Recognition from Arizona State University between 1988 and 1993. Prior to that, they obtained their B.A. in Computer Science / Psychology from Iowa State University between 1982 and 1988.
