Mark Oven

Mark Oven is a senior energy expert with over 30 years of experience in clean energy, cogeneration, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation. They have worked with various multilateral development banks and governments across the globe, successfully managing multimillion-dollar energy projects for the U.S. Government and conducting assignments for prominent institutions like the World Bank. Currently, Mark leads a team of over 12 consultants in the electricity sector to support MCC Compact development in Senegal and Burkina Faso. They have also designed training programs that have significantly increased the participation of women in clean energy courses and are proficient in several languages. Mark holds a Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
