Steve Torres

Steve Torres is a seasoned Senior Engineering Geologist at Tetra Tech since February 2021, leading the commercial practice in the Chicago office with an emphasis on real estate transactions and Brownfield redevelopment. Prior to Tetra Tech, Steve served as the Director of the Site Investigation and Remediation Group at RPS Group, managing environmental issues at industrial Brownfield sites. Previous roles include Principal Geologist and Senior Program Manager at Apex Companies, LLC, and Principal Geologist at ECS Illinois, LLC, where Steve focused on site redevelopment and agency closures. Earlier in their career, Steve held positions that included managing environmental teams at LFR, Inc. and JV Lowney & Associates, and executing engineering tasks in soil analysis and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from San Diego State University.
