Tom Chapel

Tom Chapel is a seasoned geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in both professional engineering roles and emergency response. Since January 2005, Tom has served as Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Front Range Geotechnical Discipline Lead at Tetra Tech, overseeing the geotechnical engineering staff in the Front Range offices. Alongside this role, Tom has been involved with Larimer County Search & Rescue since 2003, taking on responsibilities as Snow Leader, Search Leader, and Rescue Technician. Previously, Tom held positions as an Associate at CTL/Thompson, a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University, and a Civil Engineer with the City of Fort Collins. Tom holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Geotechnical Engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Colorado Mesa University.
