The Texan Heartland story began in mid-2022, in the heart of Houston, where a man with a newfound passion for health, cherished his morning ritual. The rich, savory flavors of breakfast tacos coupled with vibrant chats with work peers were the highlights of his mornings. But as JP embarked on a health journey, he found himself yearning for those flavors, especially the fiery Arbol sauce.

Determined, JP began experimenting in his kitchen, marrying tradition with his unique twist. After numerous trials and errors, June 2023 marked the birth of his Chile de Arbol hot sauce. He excitedly shared his creation using his wife’s plasticware, with those who had once joined him at the taqueria. The response was overwhelmingly positive, sparking an idea.

However, he faced a dilemma – his wife’s plasticware was off-limits for future endeavors. Resourcefully, JP turned to Amazon for bottles and, on July 2nd, he proudly bottled his first batch. Karen's question, “Are you going to sell that?” echoed in his mind, but JP was intent – “NO”. It wasn’t until a Facebook post less than an hour later in a local foodies group, that led to unexpected demand that JP saw the potential.

The next morning; July 3rd, 2023, JP's vision crystalized into Texan Heartland. Navigating through Texas Cottage Food Laws, he made his first sale in a grocery store parking lot a few days later. His sauce, a blend of heart and heat, quickly became a staple at his office, garnering a loyal customer base.

As the product line expanded, so did Texan Heartland's reach. Despite losing his initial customer base after leaving his previous employer, JP's resilience shone through. He embraced local farmers' markets, starting on September 24th, 2023, bringing Texan Heartland closer to the community.

Texan Heartland is more than a brand; it's a journey of passion, community, and relentless pursuit of flavor. JP's vision is clear: to bring the essence of Texas to every table, making each meal an experience to cherish.
