John Simmons

John Simmons is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across the container leasing and financial sectors. Currently serving as Vice President at Textainer since 2011, John previously held key positions including Vice President & General Manager at CMC International and Vice President of Business Development at Seacastle Container Leasing. Additional roles include Vice President of Sales & Marketing at GATX, Director of Global Marketing at Transamerica, and Director of Sales & Marketing at GE Capital. John began their career as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting & Finance from Newcastle University, earned between 1983 and 1986.
