Bobby Kolba

Bobby Kolba is currently the VP of Engineering at Textio. Prior to this, they were a Principal Program Manager at Marchex from May 2014 to November 2014. There, they conceived and led technical investments for Marchex's Call Analytics product across the stack. This included the customer-facing interface, the underlying data and routing platform, as well as integrations with external services. Bobby Kolba has also worked at Microsoft from August 2006 to April 2014 as Senior Program Manager Lead - Bing User Experience. Bobby built and grew the PM team driving Bing integration into Windows 8.1 Smart Search, with a focus on infrastructure components that connect Bing and Windows. Key contributions include the instrumentation pipeline and metrics analysis, server update mechanism that enables daily shipping to Windows UI, user privacy model, and the UX framework for entity experiences. Bobby also defined the model for 3rd party app integration into Smart Search including identification of target app partners and writing dev prototypes to support effort.

Bobby Kolba has a BA in Political Science and Government from Yale University.
