Carter Hudson

Carter Hudson has a diverse work experience spanning over 10 years. Carter is currently employed at TextNow as a Senior Android Developer since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Stream as a Senior Android Engineer from October 2020 to March 2021. From August 2018 to October 2020, they were an Android Engineer at Skookum.

Before joining Skookum, Carter worked at Aetna as an Android Developer from September 2017 to August 2018. At Aetna, they were responsible for feature implementation, maintenance, and refactoring of the Aetna Health application on the Android platform. Carter also played a role in architecture design discussions and advocated for Kotlin adoption and education.

Prior to Aetna, they worked at Allegion, PLC as an Android Developer for seven months starting in February 2017. From April 2014 to February 2017, Carter worked at Tack Mobile as a Mobile Application Developer, focusing on Android and iOS development.

Earlier in their career, from July 2011 to April 2014, they worked as a Software Developer at Deloitte, where they built, enhanced, and maintained .NET web applications for federal contracts.

Carter's first work experience was at the University of Southern Mississippi, where they worked as a Developer/Researcher for three months in 2010.

Carter Hudson attended the University of Southern Mississippi from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree with a focus on Bachelor of Science preparatory studies.
