Evan Thor has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Evan began their career at Students Offering Support in 2009 as an Exam Aid Instructor. In the same year, they also worked as a Financial Post Executive Blogger for the National Post.

In 2010, Evan became the Executive Director of 5 Days for the Homeless, where they coordinated a national campaign. Evan also served as the Chair of JDC Central, managing all aspects of the undergraduate case competition.

Evan joined Research In Motion (now BlackBerry) in 2009, initially as a Platform Programs Coordinator. Evan later held various roles, including the role of Content Specialist, where they managed speaker and content management for major conferences. Evan also worked as an Ad Operations Manager and Operations Specialist, overseeing campaign onboarding and technical integrations for BBM's advertising platforms.

In 2016, Evan joined BBM as a Senior Manager of Operations, responsible for managing ad operations teams and optimizing revenue.

Currently, Evan works at TextNow as the Director of Ad Monetization and Operations. Prior to this, they held the positions of Sr Manager and Manager in the same department.

Evan Thor pursued their academic journey by starting at the University of Waterloo from 2003 to 2005. During this period, they focused on studying Computer Engineering with a specialization in Management Sciences. Subsequently, Evan attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 2006 to 2010, where they achieved an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree. During their time at Wilfrid Laurier University, Evan concentrated on Human Resources Management.
