Fletcher Thomson has extensive legal experience, starting as an Attorney at Diserio Martin O'Connor & Castiglioni from 2003 to 2004. Fletcher then moved to Halloran & Sage LLP, where they worked as an Attorney from 2005 to 2008, handling various litigation and transactional matters. Fletcher joined Rogin Nassau LLC in 2008 as an Attorney, specializing in commercial litigation and intellectual property/trade secret litigation. After this, they served as Interim Vice President Legal & General Counsel at Kautex Textron from 2016 to 2017. Fletcher then joined Textron as Assistant General Counsel - Litigation from 2012 to 2015, followed by roles as Associate General Counsel from 2015 to 2021 and Senior Associate General Counsel from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President and General Counsel at Textron eAviation since August 2022.

Fletcher Thomson holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Trinity College Dublin, earned in 2002. Fletcher obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the University of Connecticut School of Law from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Government and Law from Lafayette College, graduating in 1998. Fletcher completed their high school education at Kingswood Oxford School from 1992 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, they have earned certifications such as a National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) diploma in Trial Skills in 2011 and completed the Kroll Ontrack E-Discovery Certification Course in 2010. Fletcher is also a member of various bar associations, including being admitted to practice law in multiple states.
