Paula Doane

Paula Doane is an experienced design engineer and supervisor with a strong background in mechanical engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Design Engineer and Supervisor at Textron - Lycoming Engines since August 2008, Paula manages day-to-day operations of the Design Department, leading a team of 13 union employees. Previously, Paula held positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Gentex, where the focus was on the development of new devices in fast cycle environments, and as a Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, teaching in the Engineering Technology Program. Early career roles included a Project Engineer at Mitten Fluidpower, a Project Designer at New Venture Gear, and a Drafter at Getinge USA, where responsibilities included the design of medical equipment and engineering documentation. Paula holds a Master of Science in Cross-Disciplinary Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology, both from the Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Drafting Technology from the same institution.
