Brian Leftwich has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Brian started their career as an Intern/Part-Time Software Engineer at Sprint Nextel and later progressed to roles such as Software Engineer I and Software Engineer II, where they developed and maintained code for various applications using languages like C++, Java, and PL/SQL. At Sprint Nextel, Brian also took on leadership positions, acting as a Team Lead, Supervisor, and Project Manager for the Credit Card Processing System (CCPS) team.
In 2007, Brian joined H&R Block as a Lead Business Analyst and went on to become the Agile Development Manager, responsible for transforming the company from Waterfall to Agile methodologies. Brian also served as the Director of Technology and Director of Product for Customer Facing Applications, leading teams and managing technology initiatives for the Retail Tax Services division.
Brian then moved on to VinSolutions, where they held the position of Director of Engineering. Brian was responsible for managing and delivering engineering projects within the company.
Following their time at VinSolutions, Brian joined Cox Automotive Inc. as the Senior Director of Software Engineering and later as the Senior Director of Operations. In these roles, they oversaw software development and delivery processes, championed Agile methodologies, and led business readiness and training strategies across multiple business units.
Most recently, Brian joined TFL (formerly known as Tickets For Less and Ticket Solutions) as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they are responsible for software engineering, infrastructure, and technology strategies, and they utilize Agile delivery methods.
Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated a strong leadership acumen, expertise in software engineering and development, and dedication to championing Agile methodologies and driving technology transformations.
Brian Leftwich obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Central Missouri between 1995 and 2000. Brian also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the ScrumAlliance, although the specific date of obtaining the certification is not provided.
