Iga Carayon

Dr. Iga Carayon's work experience includes a role as a Sr. Project Management Associate at TFS HealthScience - Contract Research Organization since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology from June 2017 until August 2022, and as a PhD student from October 2012 until June 2017. Iga has expertise in polymers science and technology in the field of tissue engineering, with a focus on polyurethanes design, synthesis, and modification with active substances. Iga has experience in materials characterization, big data management, statistics, scientific writing, and time management. Iga has also served as a lecturer in English and Polish in technical sciences of polymer chemistry and technology.

Before their role at TFS HealthScience, Dr. Carayon worked as a Sr. Data Compliance Coordinator at PPD from September 2021 to April 2022. Additionally, they have held postdoctoral researcher positions at INSERM from December 2019 to December 2020, focusing on biocompatible supramolecular hydrogels for drug delivery systems, and at Nicolaus Copernicus University from January 2019 to December 2019, working on UROGRAFT, a bioconfigurable composite graft for urinary bladder regeneration.

Dr. Carayon's earlier research experiences include research internships at Adam Mickiewicz University, where they worked on the design and synthesis of polymeric nanoparticles using miniemulsion polymerization technique, and at Politecnico di Torino, where they focused on the design and fabrication of polymeric products for tissue engineering and pre-clinical testing in vitro. Iga also conducted research internships at Nicolaus Copernicus University, working on establishing primary stem cell cultures, pre-clinical testing of materials, and conducting tests on cell aging and differentiation.

Dr. Carayon has presented their achievements at international conferences and has publications in reactive and functional polymers.

Iga Carayon, PhD, has an extensive education history. Iga obtained their PhD Eng. in Technical Science, Chemical Technology from Gdańsk University of Technology, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed their M.Sc.Eng. in Chemistry at the same university, graduating in 2012. In 2021, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Project Management at Kozminski University, where they are currently enrolled.

In addition to their academic achievements, Iga Carayon has also obtained several certifications. In 2022, they acquired the P3O® Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. In 2021, they completed training and acquired certifications in various fields, including Audit and Inspections in Clinical Trials, PRINCE2® Foundation Certification, Management of Risk (M_o_R® Foundation), and ICH-GCP. Iga also completed the Brillance Academy Course for CRAs and candidates for Clinical Research Associates, all provided by Brillance Sp. z o.o.
