Laura Pérez Is has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Laura started their career as a Quality Product Technician at Reny Picot - ILAS Polonia S.A. in 2005. Laura then ventured into the field of research and worked as a BSc Grant Holder at Organización Nacional de Trasplantes in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, they served as a Lab Technician at CSIC in the Department of Cell Biology.

In 2008, Laura became a PHD Fellow at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, where they focused on environmental sciences and agrarian science, specifically on integrated control groups for plant resistance and bioplaguicides.

From 2013 to 2014, Laura worked as a Lab Technician and Common Services Technician at Universidad de Oviedo. Laura then joined Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) as a Lab Manager, Clinical Data Entry, and Study Coordinator from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, Laura became a Graduate Researcher and Lab Manager at FINBA, where they worked on translational research in the Infective Pathology research group and had various responsibilities such as managing the CoRIS database for HIV patients.

Currently, Laura works at TFS HealthScience - Contract Research Organization as a Clinical Data Entry and Study Coordinator, starting in 2022.

Laura Pérez Is completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology at Universidad de Oviedo from 2000 to 2006. In 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Higher National Diploma in the Laboratory of Clinical Diagnosis at IES Isla de Deva.

Additionally, Laura has obtained several certifications. In June 2012, they obtained an English Certificate B2 from Escuela Oficial de Idiomas. In April 2015, they received a GCP Training Certificate from Trius Medical Sales and Services Inc. Laura also obtained a GCP Training Certificate from Fundación andaluza Progreso y Salud in November 2018. In April 2018, Laura became a Collaborator for HUCA in the CoRIS (Unity of the Cohort of AIDS Research Network) program at Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Most recently, in October 2021, they obtained a GCP Training Certificate from The Global Health Network.
