Mete Mülazımoğlu is a Bioinformatician at TGen, part of City of Hope, since January 2022, where development of algorithms for early cancer detection using statistical and machine learning tools is a primary focus in Dr. Cristian Tomasetti’s lab. Previously, Mete served as a Research Assistant in the same lab, analyzing cancer data and creating novel detection methods. A Business Intern at Genomic Testing Cooperative in mid-2022, responsibilities included contributions to marketing and bioinformatics through customer persona development, SOP documentation for DNA and RNA analysis, and conducting market research. Prior laboratory experience was gained at The Johns Hopkins University and internships at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and Dokuz Eylul University. Mete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a double major in Applied Math and Statistics with a minor in Entrepreneurship from The Johns Hopkins University.
