Jeff Umbach

Jeff Umbach is a seasoned professional in marine seismic data acquisition with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Party Manager at TGS since June 2023, Umbach previously held the position of Seismic Chief Observer at Polarcus DMCC from June 2011 to 2021, where responsibilities included managing seismic instrumentation and fostering a safety culture. Earlier roles included Chief/Shift Leader Observer at PGS from June 2006 to May 2011 and Shift Leader Observer at Seistech from March 2004 to April 2006. Jeff Umbach holds an Associate of Science degree in Marine Sciences from Cape Fear College and a high school diploma from Fairfield Senior High School.
