Matthew Plummer

Matthew Plummer is a Senior Exploration Geoscientist with extensive experience in geoscience within the oil and gas sector. They served as a Principal Geoscientist at PGS from 2020 to 2024, focusing on prospectivity assessments and seismic survey opportunities across multiple global regions, including Angola, Brazil, and Papua New Guinea. Prior to that, Matthew held roles at Premier Oil as a Senior Geologist and Geologist, where they worked on exploration new ventures and operated assets in diverse geographical areas from Africa to South America. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geochemistry from the University of Reading and a Master of Science in Basin Evolution and Dynamics from Royal Holloway, University of London. Currently, they are a Principal Geoscientist at TGS.
