Steinar Lyse is an accomplished Chief Mechanic with extensive experience in the offshore and fabrication industries. Currently serving at TGS since February 2023, following the acquisition of Magseis Fairfield ASA, Steinar has a proven track record in leading operations, equipment management, and crew supervision within the Mechanical Department. Previous roles include Chief Mechanic at Magseis Fairfield ASA from May 2018 to February 2023, where Steinar contributed to the company's leadership in Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) seismic technology. Additional experience includes project management at Norcospectra Group, earlier positions as Chief Mechanic at CGG and Fugro Geoteam AS, and various technical and supervisory roles in fabrication and engineering at multiple companies since 1990.
