Colm O'Neill is a highly experienced specialist in systems architecture and physics, currently serving as a Specialist Systems Architect for Directed Energy at Thales since January 2022, focusing on the development and maturation of innovative defense solutions. Prior to this, Colm held the position of Senior Physicist at Camlin Group, specializing in analytical equipment design for the power industry, and worked as an Applied Physicist at Andor Technology, where responsibilities included CCD camera development. Colm's academic background includes a PhD in Plasma Physics from Queen's University Belfast, where research involved modeling low temperature atmospheric pressure plasmas, complemented by a Master's degree in the same field and a Bachelor’s in Physics with Astrophysics.
