Joël Devautour

Joël Devautour is the Technical Director at Thales Electrical Systems, where they have been leading innovation since 2016. With a career that began in 1992, Joël spent over a decade at Schneider Electric, contributing to the development of more than 20 patents and leading significant projects in industrial control. They transitioned to Hispano Suiza as Engineering Manager, overseeing the launch of power electronics for the A380. Later, as R&D Director from 2009 to 2013 at Alstom, Joël led diverse projects, including a battery energy storage solution for smart grids. Joël holds a PhD in electrical engineering from Université Paris Sud and is an alumnus of École Supérieure d'Électricité and CentraleSupélec.
