Will Pope

Will Pope is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on systems engineering and naval projects. Currently serving as the System Design Engineering Functional Team Leader and Technical Lead at Thales, Will is involved in the Maritime Mine Counter Measure project. Prior to this, Will held the position of Systems Engineering Team Leader and Senior Combat Systems Engineer at QinetiQ, contributing to the UK Type 26 Global Combat Ship program. Will's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Naval Engineer at BMT, managing tasks for the MOD's Naval Authority Group and conducting critical investigations and design substantiation, as well as leading major sub-system designs as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Babcock International Group. Will began a career in mechanical engineering with a placement at Niftylift Ltd and holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Bath.
