Marnus Barnard

Marnus Barnard is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the mining and minerals sector. Currently serving as the Financial Director at Karo Platinum, a subsidiary of Tharisa Minerals, Marnus leads the company's financial initiatives with a focus on operational excellence and greenfields development in Zimbabwe. Previous roles include Senior Business Improvement Manager, Acting General Manager, and Acting Managing Director at Tharisa, where Marnus successfully implemented turnaround strategies across several departments. Marnus also held significant financial leadership positions at MCC Group, managing financial planning and compliance, and has experience in fixed asset accounting and executive support roles at Eqstra Holdings Limited and PKF. Marnus holds a Bachelor of Accounting and a Bachelor of Accounting Honours from the University of the Free State, as well as a Programme in Technical & Operational Surface Mining Excellence from the University of Pretoria.
