Paul Collins

Paul Collins has a strong background as a Chief Information Officer, with experience in various industries. Paul was most recently the CIO at Tharisa starting in October 2022. Before that, they served as the CIO at Nyrstar from October 2019 to October 2022. Prior to that, they were the CIO-EMEA & Brazil at Eurasian Resources Group from May 2017 to September 2019. Paul also held the role of Head Information Systems and Technology-Africa at Eurasian Resources Group-Africa from May 2015 to April 2017. Earlier in their career, they were the Global Head Mining Information Technology at Trafigura from April 2012 to April 2015. Paul also worked at Rio Tinto, where they held roles such as Applications Manager from April 2009 to January 2012 and Business Solution Centre Manager-EMEA from January 2006 to April 2009. Paul began their career at Mincom, where they served as Operations Director Africa from 1995 to 2005.

Paul Collins earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Strategy and Financial Markets from the University of Cape Town in 1992. Prior to that, they attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 1986 to 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B Comm) degree. Paul completed their matric education at Maritzburg College from 1978 to 1982.
