John Miller

John Miller has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. John began their career in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate and Engineering Laboratory Technician, where they gained knowledge of nuclear power plant design and operation. John then worked at Electric Boat Corporation as a Fluid Systems Engineer, where they designed and developed fluid systems for Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants. After that, they transitioned to the Information Technology department and served as an Information Technology Project Manager / CAD Systems Support Engineer, where they collaborated with program management and external IT staff to define requirements and manage project implementation. In 2012, they became a Tactical Software Engineer at Electric Boat Corporation, developing and maintaining software requirements specifications and working on graphical user interfaces. John was promoted to Lead Software Engineer in 2016, where they led a team, developed project estimates, and performed software development and testing activities. In 2021, John joined ThayerMahan Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer.

John Miller obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. John then pursued further education at the University of New Haven, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2005 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, John also obtained a certification in Full Stack Web Development with Flask from LinkedIn in February 2022.
