Gavan Michael

Gavan Michael is an experienced product manager and designer with a strong background in digital product development and user experience design. Currently serving as Product Manager for Voice and CUI platforms at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) since November 2014, Gavan focuses on translating ABC's content for voice assistant platforms and enhancing user interaction through custom built voice apps. Previous roles at ABC include Digital Product Design Lead for the News website, where responsibilities involved optimizing user conversion rates and collaborating on product improvements, and as a Digital Product Designer, developing a comprehensive design system. Prior to ABC, Gavan held positions at Mettro as a UX Designer, where key projects included complex ordering processes and smartphone applications for clients like Allianz, and Moody Brand Advisors as a Brand Advisor, leading branding projects for notable organizations. Gavan's professional journey began with a Graphic Designer role at Minale Bryce Design Strategy, and Gavan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from Queensland College of Art.
