Judith Whelan

Judith Whelan is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in leading content across various platforms. Currently serving as the Director of Regional & Local at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) since November 2016, Judith oversees specialist genres in television, radio, and digital media, including Arts, Science, Health and Technology, and Education. Prior to this role, Judith held multiple key positions at Fairfax Media from April 2004 to October 2016, including Editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and Head of Spoken Content. Judith Whelan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Early English Literature from the University of Sydney in 1983.
