Rob Batten

Rob Batten is an experienced media professional with a long history at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, serving in various roles since 1985. Currently, as Project Director of International Development, Rob leads initiatives aimed at strengthening media organizations' capacity in Papua New Guinea, including projects in Samoa and ASEAN countries. Previous positions include Technical Advisor to the National Broadcasting Corporation of PNG, State Director, State Manager for Tasmania, and Radio Manager for ABC Local Radio in Victoria. Additionally, Rob co-owns Camden Farm in Tasmania, focusing on wool and lamb production, and served on the Board of Directors for TQA Australia, advising on agribusiness communications. Early experience includes reporting and presenting for ABC, where Rob began as a Rural Reporter. Educational background includes attendance at Choteau High School in Montana and Lalor High School in Australia.
