Thomas Saunders is an accomplished meteorologist with extensive experience in both broadcasting and weather analysis. Beginning a career at Weatherzone from October 2003 to July 2009, Thomas performed forecasting, editorial tasks, and graphics as well as sales and training. Thomas then advanced to a Senior Meteorologist role at Foxtel from August 2009 to July 2014, where responsibilities included analyzing and communicating weather information across all platforms and ensuring resource efficiency. From July 2014 to August 2022, Thomas served as Chief Meteorologist and Channel Manager at Australian News Channel (Sky News), leading the on-air team, managing budgets, and collaborating with the news team during weather events. Currently, Thomas holds the position of Broadcast Meteorologist at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) since August 2022. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Macquarie University between 1998 and 2002.
