Gary Newman

Gary Newman is a political filmmaker and commentator with a diverse background in content strategy, law, and public policy. They held roles as a Regulatory Affairs Consultant and Strategic Regulations Advisor at the Victorian Building Authority from 2009 to 2012, providing expert policy analysis and managing stakeholder relationships. As a Senior Content Designer at Bupa since 2024, they have successfully developed content strategies that generated significant sales. In addition to experience with various media organizations, Gary directed the documentary "How to Capture a Prime Minister," which gained critical acclaim. They also contribute as a columnist for The Age, focusing on issues of inequality and social justice. Gary holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University, obtained in 2002.
