Ross Conroy has accumulated a diverse range of work experience. In 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at DuPont Teijin Films for a year. Following this, they joined Ramsdens Financial Limited as a Junior Software Developer from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they pursued a PhD at Teesside University, where they also briefly worked as a Research Associate. From 2017 to 2021, Ross worked as a Software Engineer at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. In 2021, they became a KTP Associate at Teesside University, a position they held until 2023. Currently, Ross serves as the Head of Research and Development at Optimize.

Ross Conroy has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and artificial intelligence. Ross obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Artificial Intelligence from Teesside University between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Networks from the same institution, spanning from 2008 to 2012. Ross's education journey began at Helston Community College, where they obtained their A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Computing, as well as CCNA (Semesters 1 + 2) certification, from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Ross has also acquired further professional development through certifications, such as the Innovate UK KTN Innovation Strategy Course, obtained in January 2023 from Innovate UK KTN.
