Ali Ahmed

Ali Ahmed is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in stream processing and data engineering. Currently serving as a committer on the Apache Pulsar and Apache Heron projects at The Apache Software Foundation since October 2017, Ali has demonstrated significant contributions to these open-source initiatives. Previous roles include software engineer positions at Splunk and Streamlio, and a senior software engineer role at Criteo, where Ali was part of the Data Engineering Group. Ali's career also includes experience at Turn, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, and Electronic Arts, focusing on various aspects of software development and engineering. Ali holds a degree in Software Engineering from Concordia University and has pursued independent graduate studies in Distributed Systems and Software Engineering from Columbia University.
