Daniel Imberman

Daniel Imberman is an experienced software engineer with a robust background in data engineering and analytics. Currently serving as a PMC member and committer for Apache Airflow at The Apache Software Foundation since March 2019, Daniel has held roles as a Staff Software Engineer and Strategy Engineer at Astronomer from July 2019 to July 2025. Prior experience includes a senior software engineer position at Bloomberg LP, contributing to the Spark Platform Team and implementing Kubernetes integration for Apache Airflow, as well as a platform engineer role at Origami Logic where Daniel developed a scalable real-time data analytics engine using Spark. Academic credentials include a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, with a focus on machine learning and natural language processing in distributed systems.
