Ruth Suehle

Ruth Suehle is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in open source management and community outreach. Currently serving as President and Executive Vice President at The Apache Software Foundation since April 2020, Ruth also holds the position of Director of Open Source at SAS since September 2022. Ruth has contributed as a core contributor to GeekMom since October 2010 and has been actively involved in various panels discussing topics such as privacy, augmented reality, and education. Previous roles include membership on the governing board and technical steering committee of O3DE, and over 15 years at Red Hat, culminating as Director of Community Outreach within the Open Source Program Office. Educational credentials include a B.A. in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations and French from the University of South Carolina.
