Shane Curcuru

Shane Curcuru currently serves as the Board Chair of The Apache Software Foundation, where responsibilities include improving internal governance and scaling support for Apache project communities. With extensive experience, Shane has held various roles within the ASF, including Vice Chairman, Director, and Vice President of Brand Management, focusing on policy development, brand strategy, and community mentoring. In addition to this, Shane founded Punderthings Consulting in 2017, leveraging nearly two decades of open source leadership. Prior professional experience includes roles at IBM and Lotus Development Corp., where Shane worked on process automation, team productivity, and quality assurance in software development. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
