The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With approximately 140,000 members affiliated through over 600 state and local chapters across the nation, we are on the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities.

The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with I/DD and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

The Support Services team at The Arc of the United States is dedicated to providing essential assistance and resources to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. Comprising professionals such as Support Specialists, Employment Specialists, and Direct Support Professionals, this team delivers personalized support, including caregiving, job coaching, and skills training, to empower individuals to achieve greater independence and full community engagement. Their commitment ensures that people with I/DD have access to the services they need to thrive in their daily lives.
