Nancy Deville is the current Project Manager at The Atlantic. Nancy has also previously worked as the Digital Editor at Youth Radio from January 2017 to December 2021. In this role, they managed a network of reporters and producers, including assigning and editing digital and social content. Nancy also recruited, trained, and mentored youth-led news teams, including outreach to college professors, minority journalism organizations and communities historically underrepresented in newsroom staff.
During their time at Youth Radio, Nancy also created and executed digital media content strategy plans for special news events such as 2020 presidential election, daily national breaking news, and the 2018 midterm election. In addition, they improved workflow between departments – news, interactive, video and social teams to determine the best platform for content that appeals to Gen Z and millennial audiences. Nancy was also successful in expanding Youth Radio's national network of contributors by 60% by recruiting, mentoring and training freelance journalists from around the country.
Nancy Deville has a Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, a BA in Theirtory from Fisk University, and is a graduate of the Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media from the Poynter Institute.
