Brian Phillips

Brian Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Brian is the Founder/Director of The Basement, a digital agency they co-founded in 2007. At The Basement, they led creative and strategic planning for campaigns that achieved significant results for clients.

Brian also served as a Special Advisor at The City League starting in 2019 and as a Board Member at People for Urban Progress from 2019 to 2022. Brian co-founded Viy, a mobile sharing and saving platform, where they served as CEO from 2016 to 2020.

Furthermore, Brian played a role in promoting an emerging profession at the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts from 2014 onwards. Brian also helped build the motion design/animation community in Indiana through their involvement with MG Collective from 2010 to 2013.

Before these ventures, Brian taught motion graphics courses as an Adjunct Professor at Ball State University in 2010 and at Indiana University's School of Informatics from 2006 to 2010. Brian also gained experience directing creative growth at MediaSauce from 2004 to 2007 and writing advanced animation curriculums at Pearson Publishing from 2006 to 2007.

From 1996 to 1999, Brian Phillips attended ITT, Indianapolis Campus, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Visualization.
