The Berkeley Pulse is a student-run media organization at the University of California, Berkeley covering athletics, campus culture, and voices across the Bay Area.

Founded by UC Berkeley English major Morgan Garcia, The Berkeley Pulse highlights stories that traditional campus media often overlook — from athlete features and creative writing to community voices and Bay Area culture.

Our team of student writers, photographers, and creators produce interviews, game recaps, cultural commentary, and multimedia storytelling.

The Pulse operates as an independent platform built on collaboration, creativity, and founder-forward storytelling in the evolving landscape of student media.
