Liam Geraghty

Liam Geraghty is an experienced journalist and editor currently serving as the Deputy Digital Editor (News) at The Big Issue since July 2017, where responsibilities include writing features and news articles as well as editing a significant external contract, a hybrid issue with Southampton FC. Prior experience includes sub-editing at Daily Star Sunday and reporting at MERCURY PRESS AND MEDIA LIMITED, focusing on breaking news and diverse stories. Liam has also gained experience as a reporter/sub editor with Mancunian Matters while pursuing an NCTJ Gold Standard award, and has held positions as a store assistant at Sainsbury's and a media volunteer during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Sports Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire.
