Roger Smith

Roger Smith has a diverse work experience that spans over ten years. Most recently, they worked as an Intermediate Web Developer and Unreal Engine Programmer at The Boundary in 2023. Prior to that, they were an Associate Developer and Protege Developer at MYOB from 2021 to 2023, where they gained experience with Full Stack and DevOps tools and methodologies.

Before MYOB, Roger worked as an Employee at Sidekicker from 2020 to 2021. In addition, they served as a Digital Expert (Chat Support) at Spark New Zealand from 2015 to 2018, providing product information and support to residential customers via text chat. Roger also volunteered as a Redcoat, resolving queries and issues of fellow chat agents.

Roger's earlier experience includes working as an IT Systems Engineer at Efficient Software Limited from 2015 to 2017, where they managed IT infrastructure and provided remote support to clients. Roger also served as an IT Intern and Accounts Coordinator at Gravity Computing Limited from 2010 to 2015.

Furthermore, Roger held the position of Secretary at Enactus Waikato from 2011 to 2012 and worked as a Grocery Assistant at PAK'nSAVE from 2009 to 2011. Throughout their various roles, Roger has gained a diverse skill set in web development, programming, IT infrastructure management, customer support, and multitasking.

Roger Smith completed their Bachelor of Software Engineering degree in Computer Games and Programming Skills at Media Design School from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Management Studies degree in Accounting from The University of Waikato, which they pursued from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Roger has also obtained several certifications. In May 2021, they completed the "Learning REST APIs" certification at LinkedIn. In March 2021, they obtained certifications in "Cultivating a Growth Mindset", "Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)", and "Taking Charge of Your Career" from LinkedIn. In February 2021, Roger obtained certifications in "Being a Good Mentee", "Computer and Text Neck Stretching Exercises", and "Outlook for Mac Essential Training (Office 365/Microsoft 365)" from LinkedIn.
