Director Of Security at The Broad

Jason Heberlein, CPP, PSP has a diverse work experience in security and management roles. Jason began their career in the United States Marine Corps as a Section Supervisor and Military Police Officer, where they were responsible for the security and operation of a missile system. Jason then worked as a Lead Supervisor for Securiguard Inc. and the U.S. Department of Energy, managing security assets and supervising a guard force. Jason also served in the United States Army as a Management Vehicle Operator, Security Officer, and Operations Center Shift Supervisor, responsible for the transportation and security of a Brigadier General. In their role as Security Manager at the Norton Simon Museum, they supervised and trained security staff, developed security and safety policies, and conducted employment interviews and performance appraisals. Jason then transitioned to the role of Assistant Director of Security, where they oversaw a security staff of 95 people and handled human resource functions. Most recently, they have been serving as the Director of Security at The Broad, where they lead the security team and ensures the safety and security of the museum.

Jason Heberlein, CPP, PSP pursued their education in a disciplined and systematic manner. From 2003 to 2005, they attended the University of Phoenix, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Following this, they enrolled at American Military University from 2007 to 2009, where they focused on Security Management and obtained a Master of Arts degree.

The Broad

The Broad is a contemporary art museum founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler, the museum offers free general admission and presents an active program of rotating temporary exhibitions and innovative audience engagement.
