The Building Center Inc. is a vertically integrated Building Material Supplier in North and South Carolina.  In addition to operating five distribution centers, the company manufactures roof and floor trusses, custom millwork products, and operates multiple door shops.
Founded in 1977 by Ed Norris, the family remains in control of the business, with Skip Norris serving as President.  Service is a foundational value, and the company maintains the most robust fleet in the Carolinas to insure prompt and complete order delivery.  
The business is the 43rd largest LBM supplier in the US (ProSales 2020), and employs over 400 people in the Carolinas in Mebane NC, Greensboro NC, Charlotte Metro NC, Gastonia NC, Rock Hill SC, Columbia SC, Holly Hill SC, Georgetown, SC and Easley, SC.  “The construction industry is a people business,” said Skip Norris, President, “and our mission statement clearly expresses how we feel about the people we do business with.”
