Founded in 2021 by Rob Baker, The CFO Practice is a founder-led search firm specialising in CFO and finance leadership appointments for high-growth, transformational and turnaround businesses.

With over 20 years in executive finance recruitment, Rob works closely with investor-backed and founder-owned businesses seeking a thoughtful, differentiated approach to finance leadership search, focusing on no more than two searches at any one time.

Trusted by PE and VC funds such as Business Growth Fund and Balderton Capital, The CFO Practice supports clients across:

-CFO and Finance Director search for high-growth, transformational and turnaround businesses
-Recruitment of CFO-1 roles, including Heads of Finance and broader senior finance leadership positions
-Partnering closely with CEOs, founders and investors on permanent, interim and fractional appointments

The firm is built around a more focused, agile and discreet model, with an emphasis on depth, quality and long-term fit.
