John Malone has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. John worked as an HRIS & Special Projects Manager at The Chicago Lighthouse, where they served as the HRIS expert and managed all HR projects related to the Paycom system. John also worked as a Human Resources Recruiter, sourcing candidates, updating job ads, and conducting pre-employment testing requirements.
Prior to their time at The Chicago Lighthouse, John held various positions at Staff Management | SMX. John served as a Director of Operations, overseeing a portfolio of client sites and managing contracts. John also worked as an Implementation/Project Director, responsible for client solution implementations and leading large projects. In addition, John served as an Implementation and Senior Operations Manager, creating and implementing recruiting strategies and delivering presentations to key stakeholders.
Before their tenure at Staff Management | SMX, John worked as a Facility Director at FIRST at Blue Ridge, where they managed a 100-bed treatment facility and supervised various departments. John also gained experience at Parkdale Mills, Inc. as a Preventative Maintenance Technician, where they served as a subject matter expert and mentored maintenance staff.

John Malone completed their General Education Diploma in General Studies at Gaston College from 1990 to 1991. John later pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Leadership at Northeastern Illinois University from 2020 to 2023.

In addition, The Lighthouse has developed several Social Enterprise businesses in the areas of Customer Service, Digital Accessibility Consulting, Manufacturing and Shipping that serve the dual purpose of providing our clients with accessible, inclusive jobs and generating revenue to support our clinical and social service programs.
