The City Root is the culmination of devotion to craft, personal interest, and years of professional marketing and advertising experience. The goal is to create a top-tier portfolio for The City Root and bring it to a larger media organization to help bring its full potential to life at a low-level investment.

From articles about the harsh reality of gun violence in the City; to a satirical dive into sports psychology and Philly sports; to raw unearthings of the human condition in everything from addiction and mental health to heartbreak and sexuality; along with considerate social commentary on education, environmentalism, and any other facet of life that grabs our interest.

MIC — The City’s music & creative scene, illuminated for all to appreciate. It should be noted that we’re raining flowers on quality, deserving artists, bands, and creatives. No weak s&!+ here. 

In heart and soul, The City Root is a platform where the entertaining & important stories of inspired writers & artists receive a sharper focus.

The bigger picture is that of community connection, charitable fundraising, and furthering youth development resources.

This "b l o g" was born out of isolation and desperation and has evolved into a true effort of the underdog—established on behalf of those trying to break through and make their mark with righteous intentions. All of this is to be presented with the deliberate intention of bringing unique content to the oversaturated arena of Internet publishing.
